Originally from Missouri, Mike lived on a farm in his early years. However, when he became a teenager, his family relocated to Kansas. The move was fortuitous for Mike because it allowed him to attend the University of Kansas in Lawrence to study meteorology.
After earning his degree, Mike got his first job as a broadcast meteorologist in Lake Charles, Louisiana. During his twenty-year career, Mike has been awarded numerous accolades for his presentation skills which includes an Emmy for best weathercast. Working as a broadcast meteorologist has not been his only career interest. Encouraged by friends and family, Mike decided it was time for a change.
Mike attended Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree in 2021. He has lived in Knoxville with his wife Sherry and two dogs Gracie (Pug) and Charlie (Cockapoo) for over eight years.
